The project involved the construction of a new 437 bed study and studio student accommodation, in brief the works included: Site investigations, Asbestos Removals, Demolition of existing Princess Works buildings, Civil and ground works including associated piled foundations, Excavations inc. risk of asbestos contaminated ground, Construction of new steel frame buildings with concrete stairs and mental deck/concrete floors (3no. blocks of five to six storeys); Internal construction/fit out; Construction of internal stairs and lift shafts; Mechanical, electrical, comms, CCTV and lift installations; Construction of retaining walls; Fixtures, fittings and internal finishes; Drainage works; External landscaping.
