Client CDM Advisor


CDM  2015 has placed more emphasis on the Client to deliver Health and Safety on projects and with the removal of the independent Client advisor, the CDM Coordinator, the Client has more responsibility and less support.

JAB acting as CLIENT cdm ADVISORS offer the following support services to ENABLE Clients TO DISCHARGE their duties:
  • Ensuring appointments have appropriate Skills. Knowledge and Resource to fulfill their duties e.g. Designers, Principal Designers & Principal Contractors.
  • Preparation of the Client’s brief.
  • Collation & provision of Pre-construction Information to the project team.
  • Representing the client on CDM matters at design team meetings.
  • Notification of the project (F10) to the relevant enforcing authority where appropriate.
  • Reviewing the Principal Contractors Construction Phase Plan prior to work commencing.
  • Ensuring suitable welfare facilities are in place.
  • Monitoring the Principal Contractors safety management systems and compliance during the construction phase, including site audits.
  • Ensuring arrangements are made for site handover to end users.
  • Ensuring suitable Health and Safety File has been prepared on completion of the project.
