Bredbury 132kV GIS Substation

The Construction of a new 132KV GIS substation to replace the existing Bredbury 132kV AIS site. The new GIS substation was fed from Bredbury 275kV NGET site via 3no 275/132kV Supergrid Transformer.

The main work packages associated with the Project including: Civil Works building works to construct new GIS hall; Switchgear & Electrical Installation Works; Cable Installation Jointing and termination works, Remote end protection works and decommissioning & demolition of the existing AIS site.

All works were completed in full compliance with ENWL and NGET Safety rules.
